Th Embassy of India has decided to hold the Festival of India in Indonesia, covering major cities in Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Medan.The Festival aspires to showcase the best of Indian Culture, through exhibitions, seminars, performances, and workshops.The Festival will highlight the shared cultural expressions and comman heritage of both Inida and Indonesia through partnership in participation.The main objective of the event is strengthening and reviving cultural relations and mutual understanding with Indonesia and other countries
Its aims are:-
1. To promote Indian culture in its widest sense in Indonesia.
2. To disseminate culture-related information aimed at a better understanding of India.
3. To foster closer links between India and Indonesia through cultural exchanges.
One of the primary objectives of the Council is to promote greater awareness of India’s cultural heritage abroad.
